Pray for our Males

I will never watch the video of Derrion Albert. I could not, as a parent see another mothers' son being brutally murdered.

All I want right now is for young black males to stop killing each other, to have hope and stop feeling so hopeless. I want sisters to stop giving guys drama who want to see their children even if they are not paying child support, even if they don't want the mother of their child. I want mothers to allow fathers into the lives of their sons. Our males need role models and they need their fathers in their lives. If we as a people don't do something to help these young males, our future will perish.........

Nobody can save our children but us. Let's do something now!

HELP US

St. Louis City is now the 2nd highest city in the United States for murder. Wow and it is not even summer yet. Though I do not live in the city, I work there and to see and hear about all this senseless killing is enough to make you absolutely sick, terrified and certainly pissed off.

The young folks are killing each other like it isn’t anything and no matter what civil rights' leaders, politicians and parents are trying to do to stop it, the numbers of young people killed are increasing. I'm not talking about one person being killed, it's multiples. Three teens in one car, two in another, walking down the streets, walking into a store, it doesn't matter; these kids are doing this in broad daylight. Mercy on us all!

When it gets hotter, it is predicted to get worse, but honestly, it is the worst I have ever heard about and I hear this is happening all across the country.

I used to worry if my daughter would have any one to marry; now I worry if we'll all make it alive through the summer. With the economy getting worse, and jobs more scarce, it just gives them another reason to rob and kill. Short of sending these gun-killing- happy young men to Iraq to fight in the war since they want to fight for nothing, give them something to fight for. But then again, not having a heart- they would probably turn the gun on their own troop.

Senseless Killing!

Crime hit our family today. My husband's 17-year-old nephew was murdered today around 2:00 p.m. We don't have the details but so far we've heard it was by another teenager. We are not sure. Next week we'll be traveling to a funeral. Sadly this is like the 10th death of someone under the age of 20, in less than 8 weeks that I have heard about from a friend, co-worker, or just from listening to the news. Kids are killing each other. So we are in fact losing two, one to death and another to prison. I pray that this epidemic stop really soon because too many young people are dying for no reasons. Pray that this senseless killing stop!

Why was my nephew killed? We don't know. My husband has been on the phone most of the day but still no one knows what happened. I just wished that people respected each other and cared about one another. But news reports, theoreticians and others suggest that this problem is long from over. So people grab your love ones and hug them tight, let them know you love them.
My biggest concerns other than the killing is the time of day that this is now happening, they are killing each other in broad daylight, criminals do not fear policemen or any other authorities and they are going after innocent family members when they can not find the intended victims. In addition, these young people do not fear death or at least that is what they are saying.

One other thing! My nephew must have felt something was going to happen to him. Last night he visited his grandmother who prayed with and for him and he cried and prayed with her. Imagine that!
