To make a difference people are going to have to stand up and fight with protests & votes. The benefits of the politicians should be on the table too. Let the people vote on their wages! When the smoke clears from this historic trimming of the budget, there will probably be more layoffs, more programs for the poor & seniors cut. The problem I have with this is people are going to eat if they have to rob me or you. So cutting the most vulnerable & desperate still hurts the rest of us.
In a short period of time in the St. Louis area bank robberies have increased by tenfold. When people are desperate and cannot find jobs, they will do whatever it takes to eat and care for their families. If this means putting a gun to our faces as we leave our homes and jobs, they will do it.
We cannot be successful when others are hurting. I know people will say this is not true. But if I have something and another person feels they need it too, they will kill, maim and rob to get it. So in essence what I worked for will be taken. Something is going to have to give. The politicians as well as the people are going to have to help figure out how to get this country back on its feet. Otherwise we need to all stay on bended knee praying for Gods' help. Without His intervention we are all headed for hard times. Everything is going up. Natural disasters are destroying people's homes and their lives. Food, insurance, health care, prescriptions, gas everything is up and we still cutting those who are hurting the most.

A Picture Worth A Thousand Words!

Don't you wish they had every person's picture this clearly who committed a crime? These are the clearest photos of a wanted person I have ever seen. They are looking for her for attempted fraud in a bank. Imagine that!

Senseless Killing!
Crime hit our family today. My husband's 17-year-old nephew was murdered today around 2:00 p.m. We don't have the details but so far we've heard it was by another teenager. We are not sure. Next week we'll be traveling to a funeral. Sadly this is like the 10th death of someone under the age of 20, in less than 8 weeks that I have heard about from a friend, co-worker, or just from listening to the news. Kids are killing each other. So we are in fact losing two, one to death and another to prison. I pray that this epidemic stop really soon because too many young people are dying for no reasons. Pray that this senseless killing stop!
Why was my nephew killed? We don't know. My husband has been on the phone most of the day but still no one knows what happened. I just wished that people respected each other and cared about one another. But news reports, theoreticians and others suggest that this problem is long from over. So people grab your love ones and hug them tight, let them know you love them.
My biggest concerns other than the killing is the time of day that this is now happening, they are killing each other in broad daylight, criminals do not fear policemen or any other authorities and they are going after innocent family members when they can not find the intended victims. In addition, these young people do not fear death or at least that is what they are saying.
One other thing! My nephew must have felt something was going to happen to him. Last night he visited his grandmother who prayed with and for him and he cried and prayed with her. Imagine that!
