Hate the Hating

I wrote a long post for one of my conservative friend’s Facebook page, but decided not to post it. I was so angry with the way she and her friends treat President Obama. There is so much disrespect for him and his family. I could never understand how a person of color could allow folks to disrespect the first family like that on their page. I realize as social media users we should be open to others’ opinions but limit our name calling. Yes, I have called Mitt a liar and sneaky. The videos with him talking about issues and denouncing them are all over the net. You can see this for yourself. But I don’t call his wife out of her name nor have I brought his other family members into my posts. So today I wrote this post that said everything I felt about all this racism, double standards, and insinuations and folks wanting to and encouraging others to kill the President. All because they hate he is there (in the White house) and that he has made a difference. That wasn’t supposed to happen! He was supposed to be elected and impeached for some trumped up charges. They are still trying to do this even as of today with Benghazi, knowing they are the ones who voted to cut the budget that affected this whole thing. Seeing my feelings about the abuse our president takes on a daily basis and writing it all down really helped to calm my feelings and fears. Dang the list was long on all the hate pushed on President Obama and his family. Most folks would have crumbled! I have done and said all I can to encourage voters to vote and to take an interest in what is about to happen to all of us. Every vote counts and please don’t let these polls effect you in anyway. Still show out and show up at the polls. Rest assured though that whosoever wins, (as my mom would say) God is still the author!

Trickery to Steal the Election

We have a lot of work ahead of us for the election. This morning I woke up to the news that some politicians are bringing up the birth issue again on President Obama, even though they have been told millions of times the President is a US citizen. This is simply a ploy to prevent voters from voting as they are trying to take him off the ballot. The things being done would never be allowed if the President was another race and all of us know this is true. As citizens we should be so offended that we will exert every ounce of our strength, manpower, and resources to assure that everybody can vote and if the powers that be removes Obama's name that his name would be written on every single ballet in this country. In addition, I pray that the Obama administration is working to prevent this election from being stolen like it was in Decision 2000.

Run An Honest Campaign! Stop Race Baiting!

So food stamps usage increased by 46 percent one month before President Obama entered office but Newt the Liar calls him the Food Stamp President. While Rick, the racist informs folks that he doesn’t want to make Black people lives better by giving them other folk’s money! What fools! I thought that all races who were unemployed were suffering, not just African Americans. So other races can use other folk’s money to have a better life but not Blacks!! It’s a shame when your own religion has to ask you to stop race baiting! People think with your hearts and not your heads. Wait a minute, I better say people think with your heads and not your hearts!

Take someone along w/you to the polls.

A woman in a hot air balloon realized she was lost. She lowered her altitude and spotted a man in a boat below. She shouted to him, "Excuse me, can you help me? I promised a friend I would meet him an hour ago, but I don't know where I am."

The man consulted his portable GPS and replied, "You're in a hot air balloon, approximately 30 feet above ground elevation of 2,346 feet above sea level. You are at 31 degrees, 14.97 minutes north latitude and 100 degrees, 49.09 minutes west longitude.

She rolled her eyes and said, "You must be an Obama Democrat."

"I am," replied the man. "How did you know?"

"Well," answered the balloonist, "everything you told me is technically correct. But I have no idea what to do with your information, and I'm still lost. Frankly, you've not been much help to me."

The man smiled and responded, "You must be a Republican."

"I am," replied the balloonist. "How did you know?"

"Well," said the man, "you don't know where you are -- or where you are going. You've risen to where you are, due to a large quantity of hot air. You made a promise you have no idea how to keep, and you expect me to solve your problem. You're in exactly the same position you were in before we met, but somehow, now it's my fault."

COMMENT:You are hearing from political pundits that the party of President Obama, the Democratic Party will not do well during the upcoming election. It's an easy call based on historical fact (the party in power always loses seats). A big reason according to a poll by the Pew Research Center is that we (minorities) tend to not vote in mid-term elections. Let's change that. It's clear that the Republican Party has no interest in helping the President fix the economy or anything else and if they regain power the country will be in far worse shape. We all know that the withering attacks that this President faces daily are really racially motivated. In spite of how the media couches their words we know that white (tea party) America does not believe he should be President under any circumstances.

The President has done some good things and he deserves our support. This could be the most important midterm of our generation, encourage your family and friends to participate; the party that got us into this mess are trying to compound what they did, do not allow this to happen. If the Democrats lose control of the Congress the Republicans will not help Obama to govern, thus he becomes a lame duck and the country will be headed over the cliff.

TWO STEPS FORWARD,
TWO STEPS BACKWARDS

There’s a lot of stuff that is bothering me right now but I am trying to deal with it by not acknowledging it. Yet, on a daily basis something happens to let me know that racism is alive and well. Even though we have voted an African American man into the White House, too many still see him as something else. Why on earth would parents not want their children to be encouraged to stay in school by someone in the highest position in the country? It was simply because the man who was going to be doing the encouraging is African American. Then for Rep. Joe Wilson's to have an outburst during a speech to Congress by the President accusing him of lying is just too much for me. This country is going backwards. On one hand you believe that racism is decreasing when you see men of color marrying outside of their race by the thousands as well as others. But that still does not change how many of their families on both sides feel.

You know it is bad when a country that is trailing behind others in education, jobs, etc., keep their children home from school because they don’t want a black man to tell them to achieve at all levels. Now you tell me- isn’t something seriously wrong with that?
