Hate the Hating
I wrote a long post for one of my conservative friend’s Facebook page, but decided not to post it. I was so angry with the way she and her friends treat President Obama. There is so much disrespect for him and his family. I could never understand how a person of color could allow folks to disrespect the first family like that on their page. I realize as social media users we should be open to others’ opinions but limit our name calling. Yes, I have called Mitt a liar and sneaky. The videos with him talking about issues and denouncing them are all over the net. You can see this for yourself. But I don’t call his wife out of her name nor have I brought his other family members into my posts.
So today I wrote this post that said everything I felt about all this racism, double standards, and insinuations and folks wanting to and encouraging others to kill the President. All because they hate he is there (in the White house) and that he has made a difference. That wasn’t supposed to happen! He was supposed to be elected and impeached for some trumped up charges. They are still trying to do this even as of today with Benghazi, knowing they are the ones who voted to cut the budget that affected this whole thing.
Seeing my feelings about the abuse our president takes on a daily basis and writing it all down really helped to calm my feelings and fears. Dang the list was long on all the hate pushed on President Obama and his family. Most folks would have crumbled! I have done and said all I can to encourage voters to vote and to take an interest in what is about to happen to all of us. Every vote counts and please don’t let these polls effect you in anyway. Still show out and show up at the polls. Rest assured though that whosoever wins, (as my mom would say) God is still the author!

satan will never win
The devil keeps trying to take my joy but it will never work. The more he tries to take it, the more God strengthens me. God always win and that means I will too. Keep me and my family in your prayers. I plan to start back regularly blogging.

Curveballs
Life can throw so many curve balls at you, that if you are not careful you can get knocked out. But every since my dad became ill I have decided to do more things to celebrate my life. I plan to take care of my health, travel more, do more and just enjoy God’s green earth.

I feel great about life. Since I started Zumba dancing and exercising on Jan. 1, 2010, I have lost 22 pounds. I plan to lose more and to do it sensibly. I also visited dad regularly and take him out to drive his car on Saturdays. Dad misses driving and still is very good at it. He seems better with medication.
My family as a whole is spending every single Saturday with him and some weekdays. We even take him out to dinner every week. Before dad became ill, he never went to restaurants because he just didn’t like others cooking. Now we go and have a good time talking and enjoying each other. Sometimes it takes someone you love to get ill to see how bless you are. As a family we are a strong unit…I’m glad to know that I can depend on others to help dad at this critical time in his life.

What is the best thing that ever happened to you?
It's hard to narrow this down for me. I think it was holding my daughter when I first laid eyes on her. Also, marrying my husband.
Who inspires you the most?
My mother. She has dealt with so much pain in her life, yet she still smiles, loves hard, and still cares about everyone.
Are you where you thought you would be in life?
Honest, I got everything I ever wanted in life. The only thing different in my dreams as a child is that I have a daughter. I dreamed alot but in my dreams I had a beautiful home, nice cars, a great husband and a son. Imagine that!
What about you?

Chris Coleman Did It!
Why is it when a man meets another woman and falls in love he either a) leaves his wife struggling, b) stop seeing or taking care of the kids, c) murder his entire family?
Every time I hear on the news that an entire family has been killed, and the survivor is the man, I find it usually was him that did it. Take for instance this recent story about two beautiful boys, their 31-year-old mother found dead in their beautiful home. The father looking distraught was a former Military police and was working for Joyce Meyers as a highly paid security personnel. Immediately, I knew he did it. Police, murder, another woman- which was a good friend of hers- all spells guilty. Not that policemen are murderers but when you add in the violence they see, some of them change to become violent.
Joyce Meyers immediately met with Chris after it was reported he was having an affair. He resigned. He couldn’t certainly work for the church now could he?
I just don’t get it. Why kill your family? Why kill your kids? Why can’t the person just leave?

The Real Meaning of Christmas - Family!

This has been an amazing Christmas for me. Not because of gifts and other things that truly does not represent the real meaning of this holiday, but because I spent it with my family, as well as my nieces, nephews, siblings and my parents. We simply had a great time just being together.
Although mom had to have emergency plumbing because the one pipe at moms in the guest room actually burst but it ended up only costing $286.00. We had a ball at moms then we packed into cars and went to visit dad and his common-law wife. Mom went too. She said she had fun but she may have felt a little jealous that we had a good time with dad’s girl in the house. But my parents have a 40 year history together, 33 of them as husband and wife. So I didn’t want to leave her out. Plus she is part owner of the house. Mom and dad’s girlfriend was very cordial to each other and laughed and talked.
During the visit I found out that mom have known the woman for more than 30 years. She is the sister to my father brother’s wife. So there may have been some hanky panky stuff way back. But still my parents are very good friends and really care about each other so there was no shame in my game. Mom always goes with us when we visit. Both she and dad always worry about each other so this is a good way for them to see each other more than once a month. Dad and mom go to the grocery store together once a month around the first of the month, and the rest of the month they are always asking questions about each other. Should they have ever divorced? No because they still have deep feelings for each other. But mom said that she wouldn’t want to be with him again as his wife.
On another note, hubby bought my daughter and me a Wii. We have been exercising daily with this game system. It is quite interesting. I only get in about 30 minutes while my daughter does an hour or more. But we work out together and we are having a ball. Hubby said that he’s glad we are working out but if we stop before thirty days he is taking it back. Yeah right! I hope we stay motivated. I want to lose about 40 pounds and my daughter wants to lose 10, no more than 15.
Family means the world to me…
I hope your holiday has been a blessing for each of you…..
