How Dare You?

Yep I need a break. I received an urgent call Friday. The person ended up asking me to help pay for an abortion. I must have gone totally off on the caller. Did I get your azz pregnant? Where is the guy? Why are you having unprotected sex? Why are you having sex at all? How dare you ask me for that kind of help? I don’t participate in that crap? Yep I said a curse word or two or probably more. See I was caught off guard.

It started when I received a call from my sister who said a young lady was trying to reach me and when she asked the person why they were crying, they wouldn’t say. She wouldn’t give my number out but asked the person for their number and told the caller I would call her back. I did call her and probably shocked her more than the pregnancy did. I guess I have always been so helpful and caring, but this shook my goose. Don’t ask me for help like this? I mean wanting me to pay for the abortion. Plus this is a person who sat in five sessions,I and several experts taught about teen pregnancy, abstinence and prevention of diseases, etc. This person is 20 now. It is time for these teenagers to start thinking how bad decisions will affect their lives.

I don’t do abortion. If you are raped, I would refer you to victim services and they would help you. Please don’t ask me to right a wrong you did especially when I told you this would happen when you lay down with guys unprotected. Well, she did find someone to help her.

I love teens and will help them with problems but this one was out of my boundary.
