Are you a Prostitute?

Say your rent was due or your lights or gas was about to be turned off and to prevent eviction or utility shut off, all you have to do is ask your boyfriend to give you the money. Would you ask him? If you are having sex with him and you request money for help is that being a whore or being smart. Why wouldn't you ask him if you are giving him your most precious stuff?

Someone said that they would not ask their boyfriend for help because that is like being a prostitute but this same person can turn around and ask everybody else for help. What's wrong with this picture?

Yeah... if you're having sex with the guy then by all means ask him for some support for the power or whatever. People sure get themselves into strife when they DON'T MAKE A COMMITMENT... just have a bit on the side.

maybe boyfriend means something to this person that it doesn't mean to you. Maybe they got the wrong impression a long, long time ago.

I don't like to associate money with sex like that ... because to me it IS prostitution. However, if the guy is my man than we definitely share more than just sex and it shouldn't be an issue.

I know women who ask men that they are casually dating (sleeping with) for money and that is something that I could never do.

I don't like to link the implication of comparing relationship sex and money to prostituion. But, if we're in a relationship, I'd like to think that I would speak up before we got to an eviction or utility cutoff. Perhaps a loan or something. Hopefully, I'll have chosen a partner that simply wants to help.

No. Why can't you ask for help without such thoughts coming into play?

That doesn't make since to me. If you're in a committed relationship, what's wrong with asking for help? You're doing the same thing with everyone else.

It's only prostitution if she's having sex for the money. If the relationship is more than sex there should be no problem asking for help. If the relationship is all about the sex...well....

The dynamics of the relationship play a huge role in asking to borrow money.

If it's not more than casual sex then she has no business asking for money. Nevertheless, I can't imagine he's not giving her gifts or taking her out. He's not obligated to give her cash though. If so, than it seems strictly business.

The other issue is does this woman repay her loans?
