Teens- Will they ever learn?

I do not believe that teens know how much their parents worry about them when they hang out in the dangerous streets late at night. What is it that makes them feel invincible? Why do they believe that nothing will ever happen to them? I just wish that teenagers would grow up and be more responsible……..fast…..

As someone once told me when my daughters were growing up! Teens wants are like wanting the forbidden fruit! That's why they all need prayer! We must not only pray for our own children and teens but for all. Some of these young teenagers don't even have someone praying for them because some of their parents were just as lost as they are now! Our young people in this world needs help immediately!

Pray! Pray! Pray! Until something happens! Don't give up!

I found out this past Friday night over dinner that the group of boys that Charlie grew up with on our street (I made him stop hanging with them in the 8th grade because these kids started hanging out late and I'd heard some of their language) tried to rip off a drug dealer last year (thier junior year) and one was shot and killed, another shot and killed a man and is in prison. I loved these kids and I cried for hours (was told in a restaurant and I broke down like a baby, very embarrassing). Charlie had hung out with these kids since the first grade until I had to separate them. At the time it was so HARD for me, and Charlie didn't understand why I couldn't trust HIM with them. No...they just don't understand.

Wow Kathi. Your comment hit the spot. Teens have to understand that most of us mothers know what is best for our children.I'm sure Charlie is happy you separate them now. I know it hurt back then, but hurt does decrease as time goes by.....

I live in a small village and there is so much teen mayhem, it is unbelievable! I don't allow my almost 16 year olds out on school nights and they have a curfew of 10:00 on those Saturdays and Friday evenings that they are allowed out...Yes, they claim to be the laughing stock of the school, but I tell them, i am not raising the rest of the school, just them...
