Bummer Day
It is supposed to be the holiday season and folks should be happy and not having to deal with problems but mother's pipes froze and I am scared of what can happen as a result. It hasn't been two months since we had her ceilings repaired and her pipes wrapped. That was expensive too.
When mom's house was rebuilt after a fire in 1989, the builders put her pipes in the ceiling. This was a bad move. Every time we have single digit weather even with the water dripping we have pipes that burst and mess up the ceiling, carpets and everything in between. It's expensive to repair all this stuff but she owns the house and doesn't want to move.
I wished we knew the builders put the pipes in the ceiling because they are supposed to be in the ground but what can you do about that 20 years later. Plus at that time, I was young and what did I know! Bummer! I am praying that the pipes don’t burst.

Oh, sorry to hear that about your mom.
Sorry to hear about your mom. You guys are in my prayers.
Well, I hope everything is okay...I know how expensive home repairs can be, especially if it's something that has to be done repeatedly.
