Mission Impossible

I am on a mission. Since turning into my mid 40's, I have noticed that I have more aches and pains than I had before. My nieces and nephews cite this as getting old. However, I would like to think that I am just getting better. For the last five years I have been dieting and exercising, losing and re-gaining the weight over and over again.

Now I am ready to make the commitment and do this. Several people have inspired me to stick to getting healthy and fit. No longer will I just hope the weight fall off and that my health remains excellent, but I am going to become better, stronger, and live my life to the fullest. The two people who have inspired me the most are:

Oprah lost more than a hundred pounds and has kept it off basically. But she proved you could look good at fifty as many other women have.

Janet recently said she lost more than 60 pounds in four months. Folks argue that she has a trainer and cook. Well, maybe so but I had Nutra System and the food was packed and ready to eat, but I lacked a trainer. So I think it still takes will power.

So I am going to try this again. But this time I am going to work out and think healthy and fit and not I want to be fit and "fione". Yeah we probably all want that but it takes more than wanting and that's the challenge. I have one question though. If you lose 60 pounds shouldn't there be some lose skin somewhere? One of my past secretary lost 60 pounds and she had a bunch of skin though she was much larger than Janet. Oh well Janet did her thing and now its' time for me to do mine. Wish me many blessings, I'll need them.

Girl, I am on board with you. If Janet's 40 y.o. self can go from where I am to where she is now and did you know that Kim Catrell from "Sex..." is over 50??? Her body is freakin' INCREDIBLE. It can be done...even if a nip and tuck here or there is required. LOL

So this is not impossible after all. But I am not fat, only a lil chubby ;-)

Just remember that many celebs have chefs and trainers to help them. It is always a bit harder for us non-celebs. But feeling fit is SO important. I join you in your effort and hope you reach your goal.

Good luck!

Just remember to be patient with yourself. Getting your body into your ideal condition takes time and is going to be a learning process.

Good post! Yes, I agree with the "think positive" choice. Have faith in yourself and God. Don't claim anything less than what your goal is.

Much success to you.

You know, it wasn't until I competed, bodybuilding, that I realized how much diet and exercise really control how we look. Consistant diet and exercise.

Go vegetarian! Eats beets and asparagus like there's no tomorrow.

I think Oprah has had many backslides, yes? You can do better!

Its probably just me, but I like Janet thicker better. She looks prettier/cuter that way...like in Poetic Justice or Pleasure Principle.
