Who Do you Look Like?

I was tagged by Stacie-Deanne to tell folks who I have been said to look like. I can't ever remember not being told that I look like these folks. I have had interesting things happened to me. I have been asked for autographs. People have asked me to pose for pictures and I have been chased in the airport. I see no resemblance though...I look too much like my mother.
These are pictures of Kelly Price

Some said you look like Stephanie Mills...I once ran for queen of Illinois State University and received more than twenty calls, saying you sing like her and you look like her too. My husband said that when we first got married, I looked like Stephanie's twin. I was much smaller then.

I love Patti LaBelle but never thought we looked alike. Once my husband and I was at a restaurant eating and everyone was staring at me. My husband said, "they think you are famous". We wondered who they thought I was...when we got up to leave-folks rushed to me and said, "Patti can we get your autograph." Mind you Patti is at least in her early sixties which would make me more than twenty plus years younger. This happened about 9 years ago. Though I must say-she really looks great!

Regina is a favorite too, but I do not look like her either. In Washington D.C. on a business trip, I was hounded for autographs because folks actually thought I was Regina. This was after the Aladdin movie when she won a grammy for that song.

It's flattering for people to think I look like someone. I don't wear make up but I wear lipstick and eye liner. It's interesting that these people are always seen in heavy make-up and I am compared to them. The funny thing is this: I am a columnist and author, so often my face is in the local papers. Sometimes I think people recognizes me because of that but sometimes they say things like, "why didn't you speak to me when you were riding the Bi-State bus?" That's too funny because I have not ridden a bus in 20 years. This means that there is someone here who looks just like me too.

Now I tag:DeeDee, Pinkandroses, Princess Dominique and Reuben.

You look like all those people to me except you do look a lot better than Kelly Price. She's attractive but you have a more pleasant face. I can see why you got asked for your autograph! I would probably ask you for yours too because I would think you were one of these, ladies! And you do look like Patti but Patti's had so much work done on her face and things so she doesn't look like she used to. You go, girl! I am glad you enjoyed the post!

I can see some Stephanie and some Patti in you and vice versa! When I was younger, people would tell me that I looked like Marie Osmond. My hair was darker and longer and I have a white toothy smile. Then, when the Clinton/Lewinsky fiasco went on, I got alot of "You look like Monica Lewinsky".

You look like all of them, especially Kelly. Girl, you could make a mint if you decided to do impersonations.

Thanks for sharing this! Fun to see.

I agree with Dr. Deb at I can see some of Patti and Stephanie in you. But your beauty outshines theirs by a long shot. You say some of these people claimed to have seen you on a public bus. LOL!!

While this post isn't about Deb, I have to say I can understand why she has been compared to Marie Osmond. But Monica Lewinsky? Oh, no!

Okay, I'm like...so jealous. How come everyone looks like someone cool but me? Honestly...no one comes to mind and I've never been told I look like anyone. And the only autograph I get asked for is to sign for a check. Sucks being me. LOL

I can see the resemblance.

I don't think I look like any celebrities, and I have yet to meet anyone who looks like me (who's not related to me). They say everyone has a twin...

I'd agree that you look like Patti LaBelle.

I was twice told I looked like Louie Anderson..not very flattering.

Thanks for stopping by and I appreciate the compliment.

Because I have light skin and a big forehead people have told me that I look like Tisha Campbell. Trust me -- I don't.

I've never been told I look like anyone although I have had people want to shake my hand or take my picture on two different occasions. I have no clue who they thought I was though. Go figure.

Whoever you look like -- God made you pretty. Enjoy getting the compliments and being mistaken for movie stars. You go girl!

Hey Rose,

Thanks for passing through.

As for the look-a-like thingy? Well, since we all originated from the same source, that's bound to happen. You may look like them, at a passing glance, but you're so much more you! (Which is all good).

Peace,
Dee

I did kinda think you looked like Patti in this post. :)

When I lived in AZ, I was told constantly by several different people that I had a twin in Phoenix. One guy even told me she drove a similar car. He swore he had seen me driving somewhere and I swore I was not there. That was creepy.
