Crying All the Way to the Gas Station
My husband left the gas credit card out yesterday and I picked it up and looked at the balance. My husband always pay the entire balance off monthly because he is a very conservative person and doesn’t like to pay finance charges or as he say give money away for nothing. So usually when I see a bill it has a zero balance. This time though he wanted my daughter and I to see how much money we are paying and maybe this would encourage us to stop driving around just to be doing so.
As I scanned the bill, I just about dropped to the floor when I saw that we owed $891.00 for one month of gasoline. What the heck! We have three cars. Each of us fills up weekly. Normally charges had been around 500 hundred a month. This is ridiculous too. Let’s see how I could spend $891.00. I could purchase grocery for a month, pay my trash and water bill, and my electric bill which runs around $150.00 or less per month and my cable bill. Or maybe I can purchase me a car and still have money left over for other things. But $891.00 month for gasoline……..geez…I am in the wrong business.
