Empty Nest Syndrome

My daughter will be turning 21 this month. I am so happy that she is doing well and is a great young woman. But I know that I'll soon be losing her to complete adulthood. But lately I have been dreaming that I am pregnant. I am smiling in the dream. This is too weird and funny to me. There is no way on earth that I am with child. If I were, I would be rich. Oh, how the near empty nest syndrome plays with your mind.

Oh how I feel ya on this one. I have the empty nest syngrome. I keep looking at my young men, especially the ones who are married and it's very hard to see them as being their own adult people because I keep thinking of how once upon a time I bathed this person, changed his diapers, took him place, bought him Christmas toys, etc., and now they are doing these things for their own kids and I no longer have any say about what my once little boys do. They belong to their wives now.

Congratulations on a job well done mama!

I bet you’re pregnant with dreams yet to be fulfilled, or perhaps reaching a higher level concerning the non-profit, or maybe another book will be written. All I'm sayin' is don't discount the possibility of bringing forth something positive and purposeful through labor. :)
