Okay today I hit my 408th post and have had over 20,000 plus visitors. Although I started blogging in late 2005, I was not a regular writer, nor did I track visitors. When I started blogging, I would have up to 38 plus comments per blog. But so many bloggers who visited with me have moved on to Facebook and MySpace. I prefer blogging and decided to stay right here.

Blogging has been good to me. I have met many good friends, new fans for my books, new authors for my company, and found an avenue to keep my writing pretty fresh which eases frustration for me. When I'm stressed, I write. Although the comments are down, I have more lurkers than ever. There are some months when I had as many as 6500 lurkers. One day I even got 5,000 readers. I was concerned that my site meter had broken then I found out that the picture that I posted of Beyonce wearing her real hair brought thousands of lurkers to my site because someone had posted my site at Mediaouttakes.

Apparently they were discussing her hair and wondered how her real hair looked and someone said go to prioritybooks. Within hours, I had 5,000 visitors wanting to see her real hair. Imagine that!
People come to your site for all kinds of reasons. I'm just glad that you think of me and my little blog enough to stop by often enough to see what we are up to. Thanks for reading and I'm telling you I ain't going no where.

Stay tuned!

As you know, I fall off the blog wagon from time to time. *lol* But, as soon as I hop back on to read and write, your site is one of the first that I read. Not sure if I'll make it to 408 posts, but CONGRATS to you!

Congrats on your milestone! I am a FB junkie...I enjoy the calm of your site...profound thoughts without 388 of my "friends" posting...commenting... no "entorouge requests', no quiz challenges...still have 2 IQ quiz challenges I refuse to do...

Thanks for the calm, thoughtful retreat from FB!!

And I'm so glad you've decided to stay put! Other bloggers I used to love have moved on as well but, well, I think those of us who are writers want to write. :) As always, I'm just grateful our paths crossed, even if only in cyberspace.
