Tidbits

On Whitney
I heard Whitney Houston is back. This is good. I like to see people fight back to become clean and healthy. But mostly I miss her kind of singing. I mean most of the stuff I hear today is so manufactured. Whitney is the real deal. Yeah, bring on some real singing girl…
On Usher's Wife

Usher wife Tameka Foster is rumored to be in trouble after having some type of cosmetic surgery. Didn’t she learn anything from Kanye’s mother dying? I don’t know if anyone remembers but James Brown’s wife died on the table for having cosmetic surgery on her stomach. Surgery is serious enough to have for things you can’t control like pancreatic cancer, broken bones, tumors, etc. But just to keep going under the knife because you can is another story. I once knew a girl who had so much cosmetic surgery that no one recognized her. But she got what she wanted. Many dates with sports figure. She claims her big Benz, diamonds, designer clothes, and condo came from rich basketball players keeping her. So to her living the high life was totally worth having the surgeries.

I’m from old school. Be happy with self. My mom used to make me recite this when I was growing up because I kept complaining about how I looked. I thank her for that!

Niebuhr's, The Serenity Prayer (1934) reads: (maybe slightly changed over the years?)

“Grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the Courage to change the things I can and the Wisdom to know the difference."

To me this simply says to change things like your attitude, your clothes, hair, and simple stuff. But to change your nose, eyes and to add stuff on that God did not intend is something else and to me fit into –cannot change or should not. See I think God made us how he wanted us and to change that is like a slap in his face. This is just my opinion. A girl my brother dated, twin sister changed her nose. She felt it was too big. Guess what! The surgeons screwed her new nose up so badly that it is larger than the old nose and have keloids all around it. Now she suffers from low self esteem, embarrassment and hides out in the house. Although a law suit is in, the damage to her self esteem may be irreversible.

Are you for changing your body parts if you are not happy with what God gave you?

I'm not the biggest fan of elective plastic surgery, but to each his or her own.

I have been waiting for Whitney's return too. And yes, any kind of surgery has risks. Even dental surgery!

I think if someone wants to change something they should have that right. I've thought about it myself but I would never go through with it. Bigger/lifted boobs aren't worth the risk.

Tameka Foster is a grown woman who made the decision to have stomach lipo and tuck surgery 2 months after giving birth. There is something wrong with that... Maybe that explains why she went to Brazil instead of staying in America.

Kudos to Whitney...I missed her.
