Commission to Display during Inauguration Week

My friend Edna Patterson-Petty is a well-known national fabric quilter. She was asked to create a quilt for the Inauguration. There are 44 quilts being created for this event. The quilts will be on display at the Historical Society on the Mall in DC. If you know of anyone that is attending ask them to stop by the museum. She received a personal call asking if she would participate. The time line was tight, but she completed. They had to be completed by the 15 of Dec. and she received the call just before Thanksgiving.

This is a detailed shot. The title is "Road to Redemption" The caption reads "The seeds were sown by the hands of the ancestors. The marching for civil rights and the blood shed paved the road, and through divine intervention the door to a brighter future has been opened."

This is the third picture in the series. If in Washington check out her quilts and the other 44 quilters.
