Sentenced to 8 years
She was sentenced for shooting her friend twice in the stomach. She believed she stole her $2,000 dollars. That's not worth being convicted.....
Remy Ma called herself a thug.... and now she is. Ask and you shall receive.....I couldn't imagine being locked up in a cell for 8 years....... Just thinking about something like that gives me the creeps. She had the fame, the money I suppose and she ended with a gun acting like a thug.........

I'd not heard of her, but it doesn't surprise me. People are crazy...need proof look at all the girl fights done just to end up on youtube.

I remember when female rappers didnt go to jail. Smh.
I have had dreams about getting convicted unwrongfully. I was hypervenilating when I woke up from that dream.
These folks just don't get it. One implusive reaction can literally cost you your life. $2000? That was not worth it.
It's so sad that with her career moving ahead, she lost it over $2000. I too cannot imagine being locked for 8 years. My cousin went to prison for 8 years. He'll get out in 2013. Sadly, if he gets out then, I feel certain he'll go back.

While I was not a fan of her music, this is a prime example of how talking about the violence of the "game" becomes reality. Are the women now trying to gain credibility for being hard, too? Too sad...

That's so sad that this woman felt shooting was the only way to get her friend back for owing her money. Guns and knives seem to be the way of the world these days.

That's just a hot mess! That's crazy..over $2,000? I'm sure she's thinking about whether it was worth it now..
I've never heard of her either but She could have earned that $2,000 back right away being a famous rapper.
