Random Thinking....

What's in a picture?

A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

Behind every good man is a strong woman..

I love this picture.

Now that was Crazy!
Someone said to me when we went to the polls several weeks ago. We were discussing the election and this is what one person said, "I did not vote for Obama because I don't want him to be murdered." I couldn't believe that someone decided to not vote because they feared the nominated person would be killed.

Not only that I heard the same sentiments from several others. I simply said that if Obama chose to run for this office and is the best man, who are you to deny him because you fear for his life. He is covered! God has his back and if this is his destiny your vote can't stop him. Plus, if he is willing to put his life on the line, who are you to feel that you must protect him. You're not his wife, mother or sister. So why do you feel compelled to save his life. After making that statement, most of those who made that statement just laughed. I think it was an excuse to not vote for him......

The Spoiler

Why would anyone vote for this creep? He is a spoiler. Someone who is negative and have nothing better in his life to do, except to be exploited by the Republicans. Does he think anyone really want him in office? He only seems good for one thing, to be someone flunky.....what a waste!

Yeah. I usually respect Nader's choice to run, but something is real suspect about this. Where was his campaigning earlier?

"...decided to not vote because they feared the nominated person would be killed."

I never thought of the possibility, but I understand why some would have such thoughts. *sigh*

nader is trying to give mccain a chance.

i'm sure the thoughtsof assasination have crossed obama's mind but this is what he wants to do so power to him. Look at benezir Bhutto, she pretty much knew they were going to continue to be attempts on her life but she continued campaigning.

I love how much the Obamas love each other. It's refreshing.

Lithus and I have had several conversations about the possibility of assassination should Obama be elected. While every president faces it, the reality is he faces it more strongly than any other in history. For me, it speaks to his commitment to this country that he is willing to run. I think you are right; they were looking for a reason not to vote for him.

Nader's credibility has just been shot in my opinion. Like TJ, I usually respect his right to run but this time... It's sketchy to me.

I have felt that way about Obama getting into the office of president myself and have also heard the fears for his life from people also. I; however, voted for him in the Iowa Caucases. I think about his wife and children and do hope that he will not be killed. You were right when you said that if it is not the will of God that he be killed, it won't happen.

I do not believe that Nader deserves to just suddenly appear into the race for President at the last minute. He has not had to work as hard as those candidates who have won different states and have had to ggo t his far to get where they currently are in this race.

Ralph Nader was a powerful consumer advocate back in the day and when he first came on the scene as a presidential candidate, I did support him. However, his usefullness has passed and like others with outdated and non forward facing policies and issues, it is time to take a seat... I love Michelle Obama, she is my new personal role model and She-ro!

Hey Rose!
I love this picture of Barach and Michelle too. In fact, I love it to distraction such that when it appears on someone's blog, I get so caught up in the loving emotions of peace, contentment, and enduring love it evokes that I almost can't leave it to read the blog post. That's why I don't have it on my blog ;-)

Though I must admit that I too worry about his safety, my perspective is that like all of us, neither he nor we should allow the fear of what could happen deter us from striving to achieve our goals.

Hey Rose, Good post and just so you know I did leave a review for Lover's on Amazon about a week after Zay's review went up. I'm glad you enjoyed the review and thank you so much for the compliment.
