Do you have an addicted behavior?

I do. When ever I try something that I like, I will eat it until I hate it. Take Butter Pecan ice cream, I fell in love with it on first taste. Same thing happened with French Vanilla yogurt, topped with peanuts and caramel. I purchase it every week until I hated it, and the same thing happened with chocolate covered almonds, Pumpkin Seeds, Lemon Heads, Chinese food, fish, etc. Eventually I hate it all. Problem with me is when I taste something and if I like it, I want it all the time. Yeah I know these are not the foods to be addicted to for the healthy figure conscious people. At first I thought it was the sugar until it happened with fish and the Chinese food. I just have an addictive behavior. I am working to change it.

One word "SUGAR" Anything with sugar such as cake, cookies (especially oatmeal raisin), candy (especially "Mike and Ike," Lemon Heads, Caramel corn, ice cream and caramel sundaes, pecan pie and pretty much any kind of pie and/or cake.

After I have had a meal, especially lunch or supper, I crave candy or something sweet.

I wish I could get tired of it.

Is smoking called addiction? I hope not ;-) But yes, I want to change that.

This post is cute. I wouldn't worry too much. While I agree that the behavior you describe could be described as addictive, it's isn't abnormal. The problem is when you can't stop even when you hate it. That is true addiction.

[looking over my shoulder before speaking in a confidential tone] Between you and I, one of my food "weaknesses" is Jolly Rancher candies. I'll share but I will KILL... er I mean hurt anyone who takes the cherries.

I had plenty of those lemon heads the day after Halloween. I also love me some Ice Cream and those lattes. WHY can't I love something less fattening?

Recently for me, it's been Twizzlers and roasted peanuts. The pharmacy stores (CVS, Rite Aid) had big bags of Twizzlers on sale for $1 during many weeks in 2005. I kept buying them. I don't buy them as often now.

xavier, I'd forgotten about cherry jolly ranchers, been so long, but LOVE those.

I'm like that about Pei Wei, only I never tire of it. I could eat it every single day (and sometimes do), the mandarin kung pao shrimp 3X spicy.

As far as addictive behavior goes, yours is healthier than most.

Yes, I'm a very easily addictive person as well! It takes me a while to move on to some new food once I've tried one that I like. I've eaten General Tso's Chicken every time I've eaten chinese for the past year...and I eat it a lot. Until this past weekend, I decided to throw caution to the wind and get the beef with broccoli. I wasn't happy...I wanted my General Tso's!!

I LOVE anything chocolate! And of course, Ben and Jerry's Karamel Sutra ice cream! That stuff is heavenly! :)
