Claim to Fame

Sharing this picture with the press, David Upchurch, claims he was Michelle Obama’s first boyfriend. In 1981, he escorted the 18-year-old Michelle Robinson to the Whitney Young High School prom in Chicago. Claiming they broke up is because he didn’t have his life together and because he was “a screw up”. He does states that he knew she would be special. I'm sure Obama thought so too. David now lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
