Snow Go Away
It’s hard to keep commitments in the winter. I hate driving through snow even to volunteer my services. It’s so dangerous with other drivers speeding like maniacs. But once I arrive at my destination, I’m good. I hate snow. I wondered if that’s because I have been around snow all my life.

What have you done to help another person today or lately?

The Best Things in Life are Free

Tonight I attended a banquet where 100 people were acknowledged with crystal awards for their volunteerism. These people have put in hundreds of hours of work to help those less fortunate. They serve in the food pantry, clothes pantry, and day care rooms to help read to children and they clean parking lots and floors, minister and talk to the sick and ask for nothing in return. To see these volunteers from all walks of life, all races, ages, and disabled, was such a great experience.

What a wonderful testament to the human spirit when so much negative stuff is happening in the world, it does my heart proud to see people who are positive and striving to help others without asking for anything in return.
