In Mascoutah, Illinois the school has a policy about publicly displaying affection. Literally this means that students can not hug, or touch each other. A thirteen year old has to complete two days of detention for hugging a friend on a Friday whom she would not see again until Monday. What the heck is wrong with a 13 year old hugging her friend? Geez, folks are killing each other everyday some without repercussions but let a child hug someone and it is breaking the rule and they have to be punished.
