I see so many reporters seeking Gayle King out for her opinion about different things and I wonder why is she the expert suddenly? Then I remember, she is her best friend......

Sorry to keep tossing my 2cents in the comment box, but from my observation, Gail King has no talent...I don't care if she was a news anchor in another life. I think that Oprah has gone far and beyond what a loyal friend should do by letting her appear on her show, run a magazine ( I am sure under the tutelage of more experienced folk) and be seen on the red carpet for reasons unbeknown to me...
I wish she would also go away and or get a life.
I appreciate you and your blog so much that I came back to show my respects... While I normally go buckwild every so often on my own place, it is only because dimure and professional folks like yourself frequent me, that i try to hold myself in a higher regard...lol! the Insurgent Scrap---was created for me to have an OUT from my kids and their prying eyes...whoda thunk it...?
Gale King might have talent, but she sure has a lot more than the Briteney Spears and Paris Hiltons that get all the celebrity hype. At least Gayle has a respectable career enough to be a new anchor before and she was anchoring long before Oprah. So Oprah did what any real friend would do and help progress the career of a freind.
Yes, they're the best of friends, but I hope that Gayle is making it on her own merits.
