Pray for our brothers and sisters today.......

I have been a praying sister every since I heard the news reports about Katrina the hurricane. I have worried myself sick praying that lives would be saved as well as homes and other things. Mostly, I prayed that lives would be spared. We have been experiencing some very traumatic situations since September 11, 2001. Then the tsunami which was almost more than my heart could stand. I have never seen any thing so tragic. In my life the worst was the Rodney King's beating and then that poor truck driver who paid the price of others' pain. But 911, the tsunami and now hurricane Katrina is too much for us to bear especially those who were directly involved in the disasters. I cried tonight as I watch interviews of those who survive but who have yet to survive their pain and their lost because this haven't truly sunk in for them as they try to still find drier ground and find shelter. There were bodies floating in the water as the military sought to save those who were possibly still alive but missing. I think that we should all bow our heads and silently pray for the people in all the cities who are going through this difficult time. But mostly, we should prepare to make donations of cash, blankets, bottled water, etc., to help all our brothers and sisters. This could have been me or you, so show your gratitude by doing something to help. I thank God for his continuously blessings of my family and friends and I pray that those who have experienced this major natural disaster will find peace, solace and support during this most difficult time in their lives. I pray that God will spared us of any more major disasters and allow us to build our hearts, souls, and lives. You may think that this event has not affected you but it will. The economy will fall, people will suffer, gas prices and food will rise even higher, and the unemployment rolls will increase. The worse thing that we can do is sit back and do nothing...There is power in prayer-and many of our friends need us to do that for them today....

Thank God...your brother's friends are blessed. I had a guy friend down there and he came un-harmed as well. Be blessed:)

It is heartbreaking what is happening down there...and so scary because that could be any one of us at any time.

I hope and pray that we can manage together to help everyone through this and learn from it.

Lord, be with us all.
